There is a specific void that can only be filled with some delicious pasta. Know what I mean? The problem is that it can take time to prepare a special pasta dish, and sometimes you need it right away. To fill that pasta void you’ll also have to do a fair amount of chopping and stirring and you’ll probably be using at least two pots. And the void grows bigger…

Well, here’s some fantastic news for you: One-Pan Pasta from Lottie + Doof that will be ready in 15 minutes or less! There’s hardly any prep time and all the ingredients cook together in one pan to create an incredibly flavorful pasta dish. This is a great recipe for busy weeknights and for any time you need to fill a pasta craving ASAP!

One-Pan Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces linguine
  • 12 ounces cherry or grape tomatoes, halved or quartered if large
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced (about 2 cups)
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2- 3/4 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
  • 2 sprigs basil, plus torn leaves for garnish
  • 2-3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for serving
  • kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 1/2 cups water
  • Lots of freshly grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Directions:

  1. Combine pasta, tomatoes, onion, garlic, red-pepper flakes, basil, oil, 2 teaspoons kosher salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, and water in a large straight-sided skillet.
  2. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Boil mixture, stirring and turning pasta frequently with tongs, until pasta is al dente and water has nearly evaporated, about 9 minutes
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper, divide among 4 bowls, and garnish with basil. Serve with oil and Parmesan.
