Hello and welcome to #SpoilYourselfSunday, where we celebrate simple and frugal ways to enjoy a little me-time. This #SpoilYourselfSunday is Make Cut Out Snowflakes Day! Making paper snowflakes has always been a relaxing activity for me, so I thought I’d share some of my favorite patterns from around the web! This is a great activity for relaxing on a cozy Sunday in with the kids – or just for yourself, thank you very much! And at the end of it all you’ll have some cute snowflakes to hang on the fridge, on the tree, or around your house.

First, you have to start off with a perfect triangle. Here’s a step-by-step picture guide on how to do that if you’ve never done it before. Next, figure out your pattern! If you’re pretty artsy-fartsy like myself you may just want to start cutting away to see what you’ll make. This is a great way to make it like a meditation – super relaxing!

For those who need a bit more control, try drawing on a pattern with a pencil first. You can mimic some of these cool patterns (it’s nice to know how they’ll turn out!). Or, if the idea of free-handing your own design freaks you out, print out some of these gorgeous designs and get snipping!
