Today for #SpoilYourselfSunday, we want to help you save your hair from the winter blahs with this tea treatment for brighter, shinier hair! The cold weather can make hair and skin so dull, and since winter’s rolling in soon, let’s do some preventative treatment! Tea is great for soft, shiny hair because it closes the cuticle and lowers the hair’s pH, making strands smoother and easier to manage. This tea-based hair hack will help your hair color look richer and your strands look shinier in just minutes!

First, select your tea: brunettes should stick to black tea, while blondes should pick chamomile, and redheads should opt for rooibos. Grab two tea bags of your choice and steep them in two cups of boiling water for ten minutes. While you wait for your tea to cool to room temperature, wash your hair but don’t dry it! Once your tea is cool, pour it over your head and massage it through your hair just like you would with shampoo. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, then wash off and condition your hair as normal – use cold water to rinse for extra shininess! You can do this treatment once a week for fabulous results.
