Here’s How To Brighten Your Face – Beauty Favorites

Summer is officially here and so it’s time to bring out the natural + glowing look. I’ve raided an endless amount of makeup shops and boutiques, and boy am I obsessed with finding ways to brighten my face! Today, I’m sharing with you some of my favorite products and a DIY face mask that will give your face a glowing and radiant look.

One of my everyday staples, this Precious BB Cover Bright, is one that will leave your face firm and hydrated. Because I’m conscious about protecting my skin, this cream is a double win. It perfects my skin with a light, refreshing glow and also works like a sunscreen. Since I like applying light textures on my face rather than caking on so much product (hello, hot summer days), this cream works wonders for me on the daily.

To reduce discoloration and for a maximum flawless look, I reach for my Julep Glow Highlighting Powder religiously. The palette is blended with real diamond dust and vitamin B6 to give you a luxurious glow. This is by far one of my favorite highlighting products, and it makes a huge difference when I apply it to my face.

My concealer of choice is the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat, a product I find irresistibly magical. I love how it leaves my face with a radiant complexion and beautifully conceals my dark spots and circles. I’m slightly obsessed with sculpting my nose and this pen is perfect for contouring. Lightly dab the pen underneath your eyes, on your nose and over your eyebrows for a maximum glow and bright eyes.

As for a shimmering highlighter, I use Etude House’s Face Designing Brightener. I have to admit, I’ve been pretty obsessed with how flattering Korean beauty products are, and so I might’ve gone a little shopping crazy these past few months. But this brightener has dual uses — you can either apply it as a highlighter or use it for face sculpting. So worth it!

Now for a natural DIY mask, try my quick and easy recipe for my Honey Radiance Scrub.

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbs of sea salt
  • 2/3 cup of honey (or enough for your face)

Whisk the ingredients together and let sit for 10 minutes. Lightly dab the mask on your face and scrub the areas you would like to soften. Leave on your face for 20 minutes and then wash off.

At the moment, I use the Lovely Me:ex You & Face Blusher and the Soft Cream Blusher ($9) for a smooth and shimmering pink glow. I typically sweep these products for a nice pink finish on my cheekbones, which leaves my face with a pretty, luminous glow. And to finish off my bright look, I apply a streak of Milky Moisture Tint ($8) for a fresh, rosy shimmer.

So there you have it folks. Let us know if you use any of these beauty finds!
