Coffee filters are a life essential- at least for me, since life without coffee is unimaginable. So I always have coffee filters in my house- I wouldn’t want to wake up one morning and find myself unprepared! If you’re a coffee drinker, too, you know what I mean. And if you’re not a coffee drinker or you brew your coffee another way, you’ll make sure you have a constant supply of coffee filters in your house after you read this!

1. Stack plates:

China can get scratched when you stack it, but if you put a coffee filter between each plate you can prevent those scratches and keep your dishes looking better.

2. DIY dryer sheet:

No need to buy expensive dryer sheets when you can make your own with inexpensive coffee filters. Put a few drops of an essential oil of your choice on a coffee filter and add it to your dryer load.

3. Grease a pan:

Because coffee filters are absorbent but not linty they make a great greasing tool. Dip the filter in softened butter or oil and rub in the baking pan.

4. Odor control:

You can use a coffee filter to help things smell fresh. Put a tablespoon of baking soda in the middle of the filter and close with a rubber band or a piece of string. You now have an air freshener you can use in closets, your car, your gym bag, or really anywhere.

5. Cleaning:

Use a coffee filter instead of paper towel to clean glass and you won’t leave any lint or fibers behind.

6. Catch sediment:

Stick a coffee filter into your wine glass to filter out any sediment in the bottle.

7. Prevent microwave splatter:

Use a filter to cover food in the microwave and keep your microwave splatter free.

8. Crafts:

There are so many fun crafts you can do using coffee filters. What a great inexpensive way to have fun!

9. Blot your face:

Cut coffee filters into smaller pieces and keep in your purse to blot your face and remove shine and sweat.

10. Polish shoes:

Use a filter to spread shoe polish.

11. Line a plant pot:

Keep messes to a minimum in your indoor garden. Line a pot with a coffee filter and no more leaky soil.

12. Hold a taco:

Okay, there’s still no neat way to eat a taco, but if you hold your taco in a coffee filter you’ll be a lot neater than without! Catching drips in the filter is a lot better than having them run down your hand. This works great for pita sandwiches, too.
