Lately, I've really gotten into buying beauty products that can do more than one thing. First of all, who has room for tons of bottles and tubes? And more important- it saves some money! Some of these products that are meant to do double duty can be slightly more expensive, but still cheaper than buying two, and some products are meant to be used one way, but actually work really well for other things, too.
Click through for some great double duty beauty products that will save you money!
1. Moisturizer + Sunblock: You need to moisturize everyday and you also need to protect your skin from sun damage. Why pay for two products when there are so many moisturizers that also have sunblock? And if you're not applying both every day you'll find this is a great time saver, as well. You can even find a tinted moisturizer/sunblock combo and do away with foundation, too!
2. Blush/Bronzer Duo: Another money saver that also saves time. Brighten your face and give it a glow in one step.
3. Exfoliating Body or Face Wash: Cleanse and exfoliate at the same time.
4. Tinted Lip Balm: Dry lips look and feel terrible, but sometimes you also want some color. That's why you need tinted lip balm. If you prefer deeper color on your lips use a moisturizing lip gloss or lipstick.
5. Coconut Oil: There's been so much hype about coconut oil being a miracle product, but it's true that you can use it for so many things and you won't pay a lot, either. Use coconut oil to moisturize skin and lips, and as a pre-blow drying treatment for smooth and shiny hair.
6. Leave-in Conditioner: Leave-in conditioner gives your hair an extra level of moisture and protection, plus it gives your hair a nice shine and protects color. Did you know that you can also use it on dry hair as a styling cream?
7. Base + Top Coat for Nails: Save money and space with this double duty product that strengthens your nails and helps your polish last longer.
8. Dry Shampoo: Dry shampoo is a great go-to when you don't have time to actually wash your hair, and it has a side benefit of adding texture and volume! In a pinch you can also use baby powder.
9. Moisturizing Body Scrub: Time and money saver to leave your skin smooth and soft.
10. Eyeshadow Sticks: One product you can use as shadow and liner.
11. Loose Powder: Use loose powder to set makeup and reduce shine. Make it your magic trick for keeping lipstick on: Apply lipstick, blot, pat on some powder and apply lipstick again. Use powder under mascara for thicker looking lashes.
12. Hand Cream: Probably the one product I couldn't live without! Essential for your hands, but smooth a little on your hair and you'll be amazed at how well it tames frizz!
Eye opening, right! With these beauty products doing double duty for you, you'll have more room in your makeup drawer- and in your budget!
