  1. Limit caffeine and alcohol: 

Don’t drink these stimulants later than 2 PM if you don’t want to still feel wired at bedtime. 

 

  1. No screens at night:

The blue light from your phone or tablet is too stimulating for your brain when you’re trying to wind down. 

 

  1. Monitor the temperature in your room:

You sleep better in a cooler room.

 

  1. Take a relaxing bath or shower:
    It helps to have a relaxing night time ritual. Lots of people find that a warm bath or shower does the trick.

 

  1. Listen to soothing music:

Music is calming and relaxing. Listen to something light while you get ready for bed.

 

  1. Stick to a schedule:

You’ll get the best sleep when your body is used to a consistent sleep schedule, so try to stick to the same sleep and wake-up times every day.

 

  1. Meditate:

Meditation is a powerful tool for relaxing your mind and your body.

 

  1. Make it dark:

Turn off the light for the best quality rest.

 

  1. Have comfortable bedding:

Make sure your mattress, pillow, blanket, and linens are comfortable for you.

 

  1. Keep your room neat:

A sloppy and cluttered room will make you feel chaotic. Keep your bedroom neat to help you relax.
